Ashfield Investment Managers (AIM) is an Accra-based integrated Asset Management company licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). We offer innovative investment management services to corporates, individual high-net worth and retail clients, government agencies and development finance institutions (DFIs) across Africa.


AIM has expert-level experience and employs the most efficient technology in helping clients invest in the most profitable financial securities (shares, stocks, bonds and treasury bills). Our experience cuts across various sectors and we achieve superior results for clients because our decisions are based on reliable data.

I stands for Investment Goals. We start every investment by working with the client(s) to determine the goals of the fund.

A stands for Asset Allocation. We select the right assets to match every investor’s goals with acceptable risk-return expectations.

Maintaining perspective requires us to keep the selected group of investments for the client in line with the determined goals. This is done through continuous monitoring & innovative value-based decisions at the most minimal cost to the client.

The Team

Emmanuel Dabi, Chief Executive Officer

Emmanuel has over 19 years of experience in Investment Management, Treasury and International Trade Finance. Emmanuel also has in depth theoretical and practical working knowledge and experience in stocks and currency trading. He worked with PriceWaterHouseCoopers as a Management Trainee and started his banking career with Cal Bank and rose through the ranks to become Deputy Treasurer. He worked for Intercontinental Bank (now Access Bank) as the Divisional Head for Treasury and Investment Banking. He also worked at Unibank and NIB respectively both as General Manager, Treasury and Investment Banking. Emmanuel holds an MBA in Finance and a B.A in Economics with Statistics both from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Benjamin Ewusie, Chief Investment Officer

Benjamin is a CFA Level 3 candidate with proven portfolio management experience in the financial services industry spanning over 10 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and insight in fund management from his previous roles with IGS Financial Services Limited, Barclays Bank of Ghana and Adehyeman Savings and Loans. Benjamin who joined us from IGS, having risen to the position of Deputy Manager, Client Relations, will lead the team in development and evaluation of investment strategies and policies and provide oversight and management of investment programmes. At IGS, he also held the role of Regional Manager, where he led the Greater Accra business of the firm to become the second largest by growing AUM from under GHS 1million to GHS 86million. He holds a first degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Legon and the Securities Industry Certificate from the Ghana Stock Exchange.

Audrey Nancy Mensah, Portfolio Analyst

Audrey is an Investment Analyst with Ashfield. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Financial Analyst at Devere Group Ghana. She also worked as an Investment Banking Associate at Fincap Securities. Audrey also has extensive experience in customer service and communication. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Ghana, MSc Investment and Financial Management from the University of East Anglia, Master Class, Financial Markets from London Stock Exchange and has also completed the Ghana Stock Exchange Securities Industry Certificate Program.

Peter Paul Aduening, Portfolio Analyst

Peter is a Portfolio Manager with Ashfield Investment Managers. He previously worked as an investment banking associate at Fincap Securities where he provided support to the business advisory and research department. Before joining Fincap Securities, he was a real estate broker and business consultant for start-ups. His roles included financial analysis and reporting, business valuation and planning and other designated responsibilities. He also worked in the internal audit Department of Japan Motor’s Trading Company Limited where he was involved in maintaining the internal controls and systems compliance of the organization. Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University Cape of Coast and currently a level 2 candidate of the CFA program.

Bismark Abbi, Operations Analyst

Bismark is responsible for the firm's Operations. He has previously worked as a Financial Analyst with keen interest in SME financing. He has also previously held direct sales roles with Stanbic bank Ghana Limited. Bismark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana and has also completed the Ghana Stock Exchange Securities Industry Certificate Program.
